The Pewter House Bed and Breakfast welcomes families with children of all ages. For the little ones a travel cot and changing facilities are available and a baby-sitting service can be arranged. Older children will enjoy playing in the garden, where there is a swing, see saw and trampoline for them to use. They may be joined by the daughter of the house, who is nine years old.

There are lovely sandy beaches just a few minutes drive away at Spanish Point Beach. Surfing lessons are available there during the summer holidays.

For visitors who enjoy sightseeing, The Pewter House is an ideal base for visiting the Cliffs of Moher, day trips to the Aran Islands, the limestone landscape of the Burren and the traditional towns and villages of West Clare. Golfers are also well catered for in the area. There is a local nine hole course at Spanish Point which welcomes visitors. The famous course at Lahinch and the new course at Doonbeg are less than thirty minutes drive away.
